Graffiti Alley

Located in Toronto's Fashion District, Graffiti Alley is about a kilometre's worth of ... you guessed it, graffiti. Elsie and I were on our way to meet another friend when we decided to pass by the motherload of graffiti art in The 6. I managed to take a few pictures of some of the art, but being that the weather was freezing we couldn't stay for too long. I do have more photos but I don't think they are worth sharing, I'd much rather come back when it's warmer so I can take photos that I would be proud to showcase, we also did not walk the entire kilometre so it will be great to come back and see the rest. For now, enjoy these four photos and the two featuring Elsie and I's lovely faces!

Colors You Should Wear This Fall

Overall, I predict a more colorful fall than what we've seen in recent years. This fall incorporates colors that both men and women can wear with ease and confidence, confirming gender-neutrality in the future of fashion.
Earthy greens, rosey pinks, shades of wine, neutral tans and oakey yellows? The 70's is definitely making a comeback in color.

For this fall, look forward to seeing varying shades of yellow. Whether it's a vibrant, pale or dark tone, yellow will bring life to your outfit as we transition into a more cool toned season.

Confined to a "Fashion Blog"

Over the recent year, the idea of having a blog solely dedicated to the world of fashion has really appealed to me, and as a 17 year old high-school student, I dreamt of gaining success as a fashion blogger.  Of all the things I could become famous for in the fashion industry, why as a fashion blogger you ask? (You probably weren't even asking yourself that but I'm going to tell you anyways) I'm not wealthy enough to become a famous fashion socialite, nor do I have the money to become famous for dressing nicely, I don't have the height or the looks to become a model, and I am nowhere near good enough to become a fashion design prodigy. I'm really just an average guy who loves fashion and wants to pursue a career in it.

So it's three in the morning as I type this out on my bed, and I ask myself why am I making this post? Well to be honest, I think it's because I'm tired of trying so desperately to become an overnight hit with my half-ass blog posts. Posts that I have made just so that I have something to show on my so-called fashion blog. I started out really excited because I had bought a domain after spending countless hours making sure I would still love it later (I still do!), and I mean who wouldn't be excited to start their own website/blog! I had a huge list of ideas for posts that I would do, telling myself that I would do OOTD's, make DIY's, and so much more, yet I constantly found myself doing none of which I told myself to do. Then the half-ass posts started to roll in; I started making collages of outfits inspirations that really had no effect on me, and I would review collections that I was far too behind on, none sufficed in making me proud of my blog. There was no passion or sense of accomplishment that came with completing these posts, thus leading up to the reason why I am disregarding the idea of I, owning a fashion blog.
I believe that the only way for my to become happy and proud of what I post is if I don't have a "fashion blog" mentality with what I write. I will write as someone who includes fashion in their blog but is not limited to it. Adding onto my transition from becoming more than just a wannabe fashion blogger, being that I have started my first year of University I will also be making updates about my life in Uni!

So for those of you who have taken the time to read this, thank you! I really do appreciate it. I hope that I have captured your attention and that you join me as I chronicle what lies ahead of me.

Spring 2014 Menswear Trend Report

There are only 54 more days until Spring, that means that you still have 1296 hours or 77,760 minutes to spend on cleaning out your closet for an update. If you really have no clue what to expect, I have done the work for you in finding out what trends await us this Spring.

Camo print again?
Ami, Valentino and Belstaff featuring camo print as an accent to solid base colors of white, navy and oxblood.
Yes, another season of camo prints. Except this time, instead of your usual US woodland printed trousers, we see other variations and color schemes. When wearing big printed pieces, you're going to want to make sure that everything else your wearing doesn't clash with the already eye catching look. I find that camo looks best when paired with neutral colors such as white, black or navy. Darker shades of red also look great such as the oxblood Valentino sweater featured above.
